El rol del apoderado y la apoderada en la Educación Pública

La Dirección de Educación Pública tiene entre sus objetivos propender a la activa participación de todos los actores de la comunidad escolar con el objetivo de que colaboren y se involucren en el desarrollo de las políticas públicas, programas y acciones que busquen mejorar la calidad de su educación.

La Ley Nº 21.040, que crea el Sistema de Educación Pública busca fortalecer y potenciar dichos espacios fomentando la participación ciudadana y la capacidad crítica. En términos concretos, el artículo 8 establece: “Tanto los Servicios Locales como los directores de establecimientos deberán promover la participación de la comunidad educativa, especialmente a través de los centros de alumnos, centros de padres y apoderados y de los consejos escolares.”

Uno de nuestros mayores aliados dentro del sistema, son los Padres, Madres y apoderados, quienes cumplen múltiples roles y pueden verse representados y escuchados en diversos espacios como:

• Son parte del Consejo local de educación
• Son parte del comité directivo local
• Son parte de los consejos escolares de cada establecimiento educacional
